Our Client is an important Multinational Company leader in the entertainment services sector and is now looking for a:
CREDIT MANAGER ITALY
The Credit Manager Italy is responsible for the management of the credit and collection department according to the Company policies in order to reduce bad debt, reduce overdue and accelerate cash in from customers. In particular the main tasks of the role are:
- Organize the decision-making process with Sales department / General Management and Controllers regarding:
- the set-up of credit parameters (payment terms, credit limit),
- the integration of credit limit in sales order process, and management of deviation process,
- Provide support in defining the company credit management & collection procedures, and implement these procedures locally
- Perform credit worthiness investigations, and develop credit analysis tools
- Lead credit negotiations with majors and independent customers providing support to Sales and General Management
- Manage collection team (2 staff):
- Training & development of credit & collections team
- Overall management of the cash collection & allocation process
- Coordination of customers & internal cross functional meetings to resolve queries and support the collection of cash
- Support customer-related agreement/contract drafting
- Manage dunnings, legal letters & litigations re. overdues
- Manage external lawyers and collection agencies when relevant
- Produce of regular KPIs and monthly reports for management on A/R performance
- Keep close liaison with the Controlling function re. financial decisions (A/R depreciations, write-offs) and monthly reporting, budgeting & forecasting
- Take on additional management responsibilities in a transition period:
- the billing department (2 staff) and its day-to-day operation, securing pricing & customer terms & data bases are maintained up to date/accurate
- the legal service (1 staff), in particular focusing on checking distribution rights and supporting clients to obtain Government grants
This position reports to the Credit Manager Entertainment Services Europe, based in London.
The ideal candidate, has 33-35 years old with University degree in Finance or Accounting, has gained 4/6 years of total experience in the credit and collection area, with 1-2 years in managerial role in a multinational company, as specified below:
Candidate Profile
• Degree in Finance
• Business / operation skills with ability to handle client negotiations at level, and organize decision-making process with General management, Sales and Controllers
• Experienced in credit management and collection, in a managerial role and in a multinational company
• Experienced in order-to-cash processes, in particular billing
• Preferential requisition: he/she worked in a Company specialized in credit recovering
• International business exposure
• Oracle experience
• English to a high standard, fluent
The company offers a compensation package of interest. Level is Cadre.
The Head Office is in Rome.
